This was at her kindy birthday today.... Another 'family and friend' party tomorrow for her extra special 3rd birthday.
I made the cupcakes for kindy, and made Dora party hats - along with blowing up 20 balloons for all the kids..... They had a wonderful time.....

Haven't been on for a while (once again), but here is my latest project.

Well, this has been a long time coming. I am not the best 'blogger' am I?  This is a picture of Miss Ellery - she had been busy painting - then did a pose for the camera!

I have been trying my hand at some card making - well, these are invites.... It is for a good friends concert (he's a world renowned concert pianist). I think they've come up quite nicely!

Then - this picture shows some of my recent needle work - I think they've come up well. Hoping to make them into a wall hanging or a quilt... Not too sure yet.

We had a fairly quiet day - but a nice one at that.  Started the day at the Seaway.  Had some breakfast then a walk along the rocks to the light at the end. It was a lovely day - but Ms Independent (Ellery) wouldn't hold hands, so there were a few bumps and scrapes on the walk....  All good though.

A bit of CRAFT

Amongst new family members, and a busy life with a 2.5 yr old - i've managed to complete one of my projects for a dear friend.

I think it has turned out quite nicely. Hope everyone agrees!

We have finally made the move

We have an addition to the family - yes, a PUPPY......

Her name is 'BELLA'.... She is a combination of our dogs prior to having Ellery. They were 14 years old.  Bonnie was a labrador retriever and Chrissey was a ridge back.
BELLA is a labrador, RidgeBack x......  We met the parents of her - and she was the runt of the litter.  She has beautiful grey/blue eyes.  We've had a couple of rough nights - but only a few accidents inside.

Ellery talks to her alot - but needs to get use to her jumping and playing..... I am sure they'll be best of friends soon.

BELLA

I've been busy!

Well, this post has been a long time coming... I am a slack blogger, but hope to make up for it.

I have been busy doing some projects - i am enjoying applique style things at the moment - but i've done a variety of projects from pretty coat-hangers, felting projects, pillows and beading.

Trying to fit this all in with an active 2.5 year old can be challenging - but i'm getting there.

Here are some of my latest completed projects:

These are ready to put onto something (eg. a pillow, t-shirt). Have to come up with some ideas so that they don't look funny.

I also tried my hand a card - making. This was a wedding card for a good friend.

It was my birthday recently - and i got rather spoilt. Forgive the bad photo, but these were some of my gifts. The watch was from Bry and Ellery - along with 2 of the beads for my pandora bracelet. Mum also gave me 2 beads - so it's getting fuller now!

Weddings & Things

We've been keeping busy this end. I've tried my hand at many smallish projects - but yet to take pictures.

We had Keshia (Ellery's homecare Mumma) and Stephane's wedding last saturday. Ellery looked lovely in her new outfit (from Nanna)... Some pic's below. Congratulations K and S.... You will have a wonderful like together.

The HAPPY COUPLE

Just a picture of Miss Ellery's newest toy... (nicely lent to us from our neighbour)... She just loves it....

This was my first attempt at this creation. My mum had one (bought from a craft store), and it didn't look too difficult... Dot (nice neighbour) helped me with the pattern (i'm a little scary visualising things) and i am quite proud of my efforts.... I added the heart for a little extra. So, will keep this one for myself - and will make my friend 'kaylene' one too. They're really handy for things like stockings and alike - saves drawer space.

This is the 'funky-styled' granny rug. Started it at Easter Time, and nearly there..... Just need to make it slightly wider then all done. Bry has had his eye on it - and after the couple of chilly nights/ mornings here, i think it'll come into good use.

This is just a small craft project out of felt. Not too sure what i might do with it. Would like to put some applique on it, or bead design and make it nice and smelly - for drawers or cupboards. So - still a work in progress.
